The position is a senior level position reporting directly to the CEO.
As part of the management team, this position works closely with the CEO, SVP and other members of management in leading the organization and ensuring the overall success of the organization.
We are looking for an experienced controller.
An ideal candidate will have experience in the banking industry.
Hands on experience relating to asset liability management, liquidity, budgeting, and bank regulations.
Candidates for this role should have an accounting degree.
Having a CPA license would be a plus, but not required with proper experience.
This role will require organizational skills, multitasking, and time management skills.
Communication with staff, senior management, the board of directors, regulators, and external auditors a must.
This role requires proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook.
The ideal candidate will be able to research regulation guidance and communicate applicable updates with senior management where applicable.
The ideal candidate should be familiar and have experience with:
Financial Industry regulations.
Knowledge of accounting principles, basic reconcilements and balancing reports, budgeting, bond accounting and some corporate tax knowledge.
Reporting requirements surrounding back-up withholdings, IRS Forms 1099 filings and various business tax reporting/filing requirements.
Call report preparation.
